Hip pain is often associated with dysfunction or degeneration in the pelvis that can also be in response to muscle imbalance or impingement. The hip is a ball and socket joint. The hip socket is made up of the pelvic bone while the hip joint itself is the leg bone called the femur. They are both connected by several muscles and ligaments which can become inflamed or overused.

Possible signs and symptoms of hip pain:

• Pain while walking.
• Eight on the outer side of your hip.
• Pain over the hip area.
• Sharp shooting pain below the knee.
• Night pain.

Common conditions suitable for treatment using the hip card include:

• Sciatica.
• There are former's syndrome.
• Bursitis.
• IT-band syndrome (outer hip pain).
• Muscle soreness.
• Muscle and ligament strains and sprains.
