Wrist Therapy Card
Used to assist with the relief of wrist pain and joint inflammatory conditions.

Wrist pain is most commonly associated with carpal tunnel and intersection syndromes. As noted above, most pain in the wrist may be associated with a mechanical problem further up towards the elbow.

When carpal tunnel or intersection syndromes occur, they can yield symptoms of pain over the wrist and tingling or numbness in the thumb and index finger. When this condition becomes chronic, weakness and possible muscle atrophy (muscle wasting) of the thumb will occur. This condition is commonly seen in persons who hold their wrists in extension or back towards the forearm. This is common, for example, in gymnasts who often put their wrists in this position doing hand-stands and other gymnastic type manoeuvres.

Possible signs and symptoms of wrist pain:

• pain over the wrist.
• Loss of strength in the fingers.

Common conditions suitable for treatment using the wrist card include:

• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
• Pronator Quadratus Syndrome.
• Wrist strain or sprain.
• Intersection injuries.
• de Quervain's tenosynovitis.
• Wrist tendinitis.
